Got it in under the deadline: Big Ups to me

Well I guess here's where I put the disclaimer. Please read this 3 part post in its planned form and go back two post please or 3 if you include this one. If you don't want to do that the choice is yours and there will most likely be consequences!

Just to let everyone know that 'Oasis' just confirmed a Calgary Date at the end of August. So I'm almost positive i'll now be in the city until then. That and I'm still bound by a lease till then. Oh and 'Ryan Adams and The Cardinals' are playing. So I pretty much need floor seats.

Here is said post I had previously promised.
Band Name: Boats, Boats!!, The Boats
Album Name: Intercontinental Champion
Richard Release Date: Late Summer 2007

So to be fair i'm compeletly bias towards the album and have mentioned it in previous posts. My friend Ashley Roch from highschool is Keyboardists/Multi instrumentalist on the album. To be even more honest the 1st time i heard it in our mutual friend Kevin's car driving down Bishop Grandin in Winnipeg. I quickly became annoyed by Mat's voice. But like many other vocalist such as Geddy Lee, Aaron Freeman from Ween. His voice grew on me just as quick as my initial hesitation. I came back to Calgary determind to give it another chance. I might have been annoyed that I was a big fan of Ashley's vocals that I think I was a bit taken aback by the fact that she wasn't fronting such a band. My inibitions left when I realized that back vocals and harmonies were very distinctive. If Ashley reads this she might not like this but I enjoy how honestly canadian folk it sounds. I attended a 'Boats' show in late 2007? i think? It was a blast that my roomies thouroughly enjoyed as much as I did. Can't wait to see them again. Fingers crossed for Sled Island 2008.
If I can suggest anything a slow ease into the album would goes as follow:
Breakfast Combo
Two of Every Animal
O Ye Coffee Tables
Classic Rock Weekend

After that Let loose. Hope you all enjoyed.
